Exposition-
The film opens on exposition in the style the Star Wars film, however it is being read by a narrator to the audience. It recaps the main story of the first film, how both Austin and Dr Evil were frozen in the past and defrosted in the future (1997), Dr Evil's plan to send a nuclear warhead into the Earth's core, Austin banishing Dr Evil to space, and Austin and his sidekick Vanessa getting married.

Inciting Incident-
However, Dr Evil returns from space and Vanessa is revealed to be a Fembot, robots created by Dr Evil that are beautiful women with hidden machine guns. Dr Evil reveals the fact he has returned to Austin and blows up Fembot Vanessa. At first he is distraught but he soon realises that he is free to go back to his former ways with women.

Plot Point 1-
Dr Evil comes up with a plan to defeat Austin, go back in time and steal his 'Mojo'. He goes back to 1969 and hires a Scottish Guard by the name of Fat Bastard to steal Austin's 'Mojo' while he is frozen in the Ministry of Defence Cryo chamber.
In order to fix things, Austin travels back to 1969 in a M.O.D time machine. When he arrives he escapes an assassination attempt by one of Dr Evil's operatives with the help of CIA Agent Felicity Shagwell

Obstacles/Rising Action
Austin's lost mojo is causing problems for his and Felicity's relationship, the implication being that without his mojo, Austin is impotent.
Felicity is instructed to plant a tracking device on Fat Bastard by any means necessary, she does this by sleeping with him
Dr Evil Reveals his plan to hold the world to ransom using a giant laser on the moon, turning it into what Dr Evil calls "a Death Star".
The pair track down Fat Bastard, only to find the tracking device had come out of him when he went to the toilet. They do not find him, but they do find a stool sample that is taken for analysis.
They are able to find a certain vegetable in the sample that is only grown on one island in the Caribbean.
Austin and Felicity arrive on the island and before they can make a move on Dr Evil's Lair they are captured by Dr Evil's henchmen.
Fat Bastard reveals to Austin what happened with him and Felicity and Dr Evil reveals that he still possesses Austin's mojo. The pair are taken to a prison cell in the volcano lair.
Dr Evil and Mini Me board the rocket and take off to the moon.
Austin and Felicity argue about what happened with Fat Bastard and his lost Mojo. Felicity admits that she looks up to Austin and that he's the reason she became a spy. The pair make up, distract the guard (causing him to fall in a pit of lava) and escape the cell.
Dr Evil's moon base is shown, fully operational and ready to begin his plan.
Having escaped the volcano lair, Austin and Felicity hitch a ride on Apollo 11 to get to Dr Evil's moon base.
Climax-
Felicity and Austin split up, and Austin fights with Mini Me. Felicity ends up captured and is used by Dr Evil to make Austin chose between saving the world or his love interest. He chooses the world and Felicity dies. Austin goes after Dr Evil who tells Austin to use the time portal to go back in time.
He goes back in time and saves the world and Felicity, however Dr Evil still has Austin's Mojo. In an effort to escape, Dr Evil throws the mojo in the air, both Austins run after in, bumping into eachother and causing the container of mojo to break. The Austin from 10 minutes in the future stays behind while the other returns to 1999.

Twist- While the base is self destructing, Felicity tells Austin that he does not need his mojo, because he's had it all along. She says that he defeated Dr Evil, he saved the world and that he's going to get the girl. The pair escape to 1999 together as the base explodes and Dr Evil escapes in a rocket.

Resolution- Austin and Felicity are together in 1999 and are in love. Fat Bastard breaks in with the intention to kill them both. Felicity incapacitates him and her and Austin have a moment together. Felicity then hits a button that starts a party and the two kiss.
Back in 1969, Dr Evil rescues Mini Me after he was sent into space. Dr Evil announces that he will be back to get Austin and the film ends.

This movie has a partial ending. The story arc of this film was resolved but they didn't catch or kill the villain.
The movie was also an arc plot film. The film has a rather linear plot line despite involving time travel as it is mainly used to get the characters from one location to another.

In conclusion, this film's structure was that of 5 acts, The start where Dr Evil returns, Loosing the mojo and going back in time, starting the investigation into Dr Evil and tracking Fat Bastard, stopping Dr Evil on the moon, and returning to 1999.
