Premise Ideas- The Monster of The Week
Story Idea-
- Boss calls for something to be made off screen, can be gold or something like a potion to cure a cold (Ideally there would be a different thing called to be made per episode)
- Alchemist tries to make what is asked for, flicking through tomes and grabbing handfuls of ingredients. He runs up the machine and throws everything in at once. The machine hums, shakes and judders around. The alchemist runs down the machine, arriving at the bottom just as the machine spits out the result.
- What the Alchemist tried to make doesn't come out, instead a monster based on what the Alchemist tried to make. For example, a monster made out of lead or whatever is next to gold on the periodic table if he tried to make gold or a snot monster if he was trying to make something for a cold.
- The monster goes on a rampage through the workshop, causing havoc and possibly heading up to the Boss's Room and harassing him.
- The Alchemist needs to stop said monster, using things around the room like potions, ingredients or tools.
- Alchemist defeats monster and finds that it's remains are useful, for example the snot monster's remains are useful in some other recipe for a cold remedy (perhaps a soup of some kind?). Alchemist then processes the remains into something useful and brings it to the boss.
- Alchemist walks down the stairs, proud of his accomplishment. Then he walks into his wrecked lab, realizing he now has to clean up.
Sidekick Ideas-

- Rat (good if medieval setting)
- Bat (?)
- Chimera (would fit with theme of an alchemist, creating his own animal/hybrid)
- Fake Chimera, basic animal with clothing or something on it to make it looks like a chimera
- Goblin Helper
- Troll
- Some kind of Mutant
- Golem, or creature made of clay and animated using magic/alchemy
- Ghost
- Beauty and the Beast style animated cutlery
- Demon/ Imp
- Baby Dragon
- Failed Experiments
- Living Bin, giant slime that is used to get rid of rubbish. Could look like a slime or could be grafted to a bin of some kind
- Hand with eyes (?)
- Bizzaro version of self (i.e more stupid/reverse version of self)
- Cash-a-piller (Caterpillar made of gold, could turn into a gold butterfly)
- Mimic of some kind (i.e a chest)
- Generic Slime, possibly with elements of gold in design
- Liquid metal entity (Failed gold experiment)
- Animated suit of armor
- Living Dummy (Would look like a Medieval target dummy)
