Collaboration- Reflective statement

The collaboration project was described from day one as being one of the hardest. After doing it, I can say that this is an accurate statement.

There were many problems with my group, the biggest being we did not know each other. In first year everyone talked and mad friends with each other, however Filipe seemed to be good friends with Francis, who unfortunately did not come back to join us in year 2, and I didn't really get a chance to talk with him that much, and Divine didn't really talk to anybody aside from the occasional question about the work.
That being said, I got the feeling that the pair of them wanted to work hard and do their fair share. I had heard that the two had to retake Fantastic Voyage and did pretty well with their animations, so I was pretty confident in their choice to do the modelling and animating.
However, I began to get concerned regarding the amount of progress being made and made the decision to being them into a meeting with Alan and Phil to find out what was happening and why.
I feel like that meeting was a good choice and helped our group a lot.

If I could go back in time to the start of this project, I would allocate the roles a lot better and make a timetable for everyone to stick to. I would also make sure the group had a solid idea from the start as our idea kept changing which made it hard to keep on track. I would also consider being tougher on my group, as the director I feel that I could have been a lot harder on the two to get work done however I don't think they would have reacted well to it.

I feel like I gave my all on this project, there were many sleepless nights and stress filled days over this project, but I always tried to stay professional and act as if I was working in an actual studio.

In short, I believe that I worked as hard as I could on this project with what I was given. I do wish I had a lot more time to do the animation, I did have fun working on it and I would have liked for it to look much smoother than it did.

Going forward I have a lot to work on but I know that I can do it.
